Endling: Extinction is Forever
“Endling: Extinction is Forever“ is a narrative survival experience where you play as a mother fox that gives birth to four fox cubs in a dying world. Your main objective is to provide for your cubs, watch them grow and find a safe place for your family. As the game progresses, the areas you encounter will change dramatically. Rivers that were once teeming with life will slowly become riddled with garbage and devoid of any meaningful sustenance for your cubs. There is an emphasis on the fact that even though the main culprit of these environments changing is the hand of man, there can always be exceptions and one needn’t generalize, as there can always be kind humans, and actions that might seem malevolent on the surface, can hide positive motivations and emotions deep down.
I joined this project as a programmer in January 2021. I started off bugfixing, which I still maintain is the best way to familiarize yourself with a new codebase, as it forces you to learn how every system connects to the others. I quickly started getting main gameplay and engine tasks, and I am very proud of the work I have been carrying out in this project and company.
Outside of regular programmer tasks, the main list of features that I have authored are:

Map subsystem, complete with Notifications system and Fog of War
Code Support for some existing gameplay events and implementation of some new ones.
Code Profiling and Optimization to meet Nintendo Switch target requirements
